Production Scheduler

Basic Job Functions:

The Production Scheduler I responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Communicating effectively with team members to provide pertinent information and keep them informed;
  • Maintaining strong focus on collaboration with excellent communication in all aspects of the business;
  • Focusing on continuous improvement to support site quality, costs, productivity, and profitability goals;
  • Creating, monitoring, analyzing, managing, and executing daily production schedules;
  • Responding efficiently to immediate needs of the site while maintaining the long-term vision of the site;
  • Working with Sales, Operations, and Material Handling to coordinate scheduling activities.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

High level of proficiency using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) Minimum 2 years of experience with MRP/planning software Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing scheduling Track record of continual growth and development

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field Knowledge of Oracle EBS systems Knowledge of quality systems
