Our client, a global supplier and manufacturer of construction equipment and tools, is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join their team in Harrison, OH. 

1st Shift - 6:00am to 3pm
Pay rate - $25+ per hour

This is a contract to hire position.

SUMMARY

• Seeking a self-starter that displays a strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Responsible for welding, fabricating, and repairing components from drawings, blueprints, and sample parts. 
• Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with team members and internal/external customers.
• Complies with all company policies/procedures and safety guidelines.
• Ensure work areas are organized efficiently while maintaining security/safety measures.
• Uphold productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Necessary overtime as workload dictates.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 3 years’ welding and fabrication experience. 
• Must be highly proficient and able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certifications in: FCAW (3G & 4G CERTS), GMAW (1G, including spray transfer on heavy steel) and SMAW (3G & 4G CERTS) processes. 
• Skills in brake, shear, grinders, and fabrication equipment. 
• Shop environment utilizing SMAW, GMAW and FCAW processes. 
• Heavy fabrication and repair experience is preferred. 
• Capable of working at a fast pace.
• Self-motivated, self-reliant, able to work with little direction.
• Reliable/dependable (prompt, with good attendance)
• Capable of multi-tasking and able to change direction or focus as priorities dictate.

Certifications, Licenses, Registration: Able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.5 certifications in: FCAW (3G & 4G CERTS), GMAW (1G, including spray transfer on heavy steel) and SMAW (3G & 4G CERTS) processes. 

Education Requirements: High School diploma or GED. 

Travel/Other Requirements: Availability as requested/required for after-hour emergency calls, necessary overtime as the workload dictates.
