Overview
Radiation Therapist (Radiation Therapy Tech) – Hilo, Hawaii. Travel assignment starting 06/22/2026 for 15 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,252–$2,262 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: Rotating. Setting: hospital-based oncology service on the island of Hawaii. This position requires active Hawaii licensure by start date and ARRT Radiation Therapy (T) certification, with Epic EMR experience and Varian TrueBeam proficiency.

Responsibilities
- Independently perform radiation therapy treatments, simulations, and treatment planning under physician instructions.
- Set up and position patients for treatment, verify alignment and accuracy for each session.
- Deliver treatments using a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and document in ARIA EMR; fluent use of Epic EMR for patient data and records.
- Manage treatment throughput, typically 25–30 patients per day, across all treatment sites including 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electrons.
- Collaborate with the oncology team to assess patient status and adjust care as needed while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Current Hawaii State Radiologic Technologist license as Radiation Therapist; active by start date.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiation Therapy (T).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of progressively responsible imaging technologist/specialist experience.
- Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and ARIA EMR; familiarity with 3D, IMRT, SBRT, and electron treatments.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays; willing to comply with travel assignment requirements.
