UCHealth is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for night shift imaging services within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. As an integral member of a patient-centered, nonprofit health system, you will perform high-quality MRI examinations on a diverse patient population in an advanced clinical environment, ensuring accurate imaging that supports timely diagnosis and treatment. Working collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members, you will prepare patients for MRI procedures, verify patient identification and clinical histories, position patients correctly, select appropriate imaging protocols, and operate MRI scanners and related equipment in accordance with UCHealth standards and safety regulations. You will screen patients and staff for MRI safety, including metal implants and devices, follow contrast administration procedures under established protocols, and closely monitor patients during exams, responding promptly to any changes in condition. Documentation of exams, use of PACS and the electronic medical record, and clear communication with providers and patients are key responsibilities. This night shift role requires a strong commitment to patient comfort, compassionate communication, cultural sensitivity, and maintaining privacy and confidentiality at all times. You will contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by helping optimize workflows, maintaining equipment quality through routine checks, performing basic troubleshooting, and collaborating with leadership and vendors when technical issues arise. UCHealth’s innovative, diverse, and inclusive culture supports ongoing professional development, including training on new MRI techniques, safety standards, and emerging technologies. The position offers competitive benefits, opportunities for certification maintenance and advancement, and a supportive environment that values teamwork, accountability, and clinical excellence. Ideal candidates bring prior MRI experience in an acute care or outpatient imaging setting, strong technical skills, the ability to work independently on nights, and a passion for delivering safe, high-quality imaging care.
