Specific Functions and Duties:

1. Packaging: Wrap and package meat products according to standard procedures, ensuring proper sealing, labeling, and storage to maintain freshness and prevent contamination. Utilize appropriate wrapping techniques, including butcher paper, plastic wrap, and vacuum sealing, to ensure proper packaging and preservation of meat products. Operate wrapping machines, scales, and other packaging equipment safely and efficiently, following manufacturer instructions and safety protocols. Accurately label packaged meat products with essential information, including product name, weight, price, expiration date, and any special instructions or dietary information.
2. Quality Control: Inspect meat products for quality, including freshness, color, and texture, and promptly address any issues or discrepancies. Identify and address any issues or defects to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
3. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by accurately recording product quantities, monitoring stock levels, and rotating inventory to minimize waste.
4. Sanitation and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment and tools to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and prevent cross-contamination. Adhere to all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines related to food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.
5. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, including butchers, packers and supervisors, to ensure smooth operation of the locker plant and timely fulfillment of orders.
6. Customer Service: Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, assisting with inquiries, orders, and special requests as needed. Assist in fulfilling customer orders by selecting and packaging meat products according to customer specifications and order requirements.
7. Miscellaneous: Other duties as assigned. Week-end seasonal shifts required.
