Overview

Gartner Consulting delivers technology strategy consulting to enterprise clients, helping them optimize IT performance and execute on strategic priorities across sectors such as Digital Acceleration, Cloud Strategy, and Data Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and sustain relationships with a defined portfolio of Gartner Consulting clients.
• Advise senior executives on strategic and tactical technology decisions, demonstrating how technology drives business outcomes.
• Collaborate with Expert Partners and other stakeholders to design and deliver consultative solutions.
• Manage multiple client priorities simultaneously, ensuring delivery of high‑quality engagements.
• Provide constructive and corrective coaching to team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a recognized management consulting firm in project delivery and sales roles.
• Background as a solution architect, technical architect, or analyst.
• Hands‑on experience with multiple IT solutions and state government clients, particularly California agencies such as Health & Human Services, Transportation, Pension, and Public Safety.
• Proven track record of leading high‑performing teams and driving mission‑critical priorities for commercial or government entities.
• Strong intellectual curiosity, creative problem‑solving, and ability to adapt Gartner frameworks to client challenges.
• MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
• Location preference: Sacramento (preferred), Los Angeles or San Francisco.

Salary & Compensation

Base salary range: 220,000USD – 275,000USD. Compensation includes annual bonus or role‑based, uncapped sales incentive plan, generous PTO, 401(k) match up to 7,200USD per year, stock purchase opportunity, and other benefits.
