Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) for a summer term in Hopkins, MN. This contract position runs from July 6th through July 30th, Monday through Thursday, providing focused educational services during the Extended School Year (ESY). The role is ideal for professionals dedicated to supporting students with special needs in an inclusive and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning and social development.

Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota Special Education Teaching License with an endorsement in ASD or ABS.
  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum, understanding their unique learning styles.

  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, parents, and students.
