JOB TITLE:  Tailor/Seamstress

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented tailor to perform in-house garment alterations at our Midtown Mall location. This is a stable, full-time position in a professional luxury retail environment. The right candidate takes pride in precise craftsmanship, works efficiently under deadline, and understands the standard of quality that luxury menswear clients expect.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Perform men's suit and trouser alterations including hemming, waist and seat adjustments, tapering, and sleeve shortening
• Assess garments and alterations needs accurately at intake
• Complete work within established turnaround times
• Maintain quality and precision consistent with luxury retail standards
• Communicate clearly with management regarding workload, timelines, and any garment concerns
• Keep the tailoring workspace organized and efficient

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience with men's garment alterations required
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple garments simultaneously
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Comfortable working in a retail environment alongside customers and staff

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience specifically with men's suit and trouser fitting work
• Background working in a retail, dry cleaning, or tailoring shop environment
• Experience with luxury or formal menswear
