A Revit/CAD Technician creates 2D drawings and 3D Building Information Models (BIM) for architectural, engineering, and construction projects, ensuring design accuracy and compliance with standards. They use Revit and AutoCAD to produce construction documents, perform clash detection, and collaborate with project teams to streamline workflows.

Core Responsibilities

• Modeling & Drafting: Develop detailed 3D models and 2D construction documents using Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Coordination & Clash Detection: Coordinate multi-disciplinary designs (mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural) to identify and resolve conflicts using Navisworks.
• Standards & Procedures: Adhere to company, client, and government agency CAD/BIM standards and protocols.
• Documentation: Produce, edit, and update site plans, layouts, and technical drawings for construction.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to meet project goals and schedules.

Typical Qualifications & Skills

• Software Proficiency: High proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD is essential. Familiarity with software like Navisworks, SketchUp, and Bluebeam is often required.
• Experience: Previous experience in a drafting or design role, typically within architecture, engineering, or construction (AEC) firms.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of drafting principles, construction methods, and building systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Livermore, CA.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Livermore,CA.
