Quality Assurance Manager – Food Safety + Quality Assurance Manager We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality in the production and distribution of Smoking Goose’s charcuterie. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols; conduct audits and manage compliance with regulatory requirements. Collaborate in the development and testing of new food products, ensuring they meet food safety and quality standards. Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments of food products and production facilities at various stages; lead corrective actions as needed. Keep up to date on relevant food safety regulations and ensure all processes and products comply with local, state, and federal laws; maintain detailed records and prepare reports for review. Respond to food safety incidents and quality issues; conduct investigations and implement corrective actions. Provide staff training on food safety protocols, quality control measures, and best practices. Evaluate and monitor suppliers to ensure they meet food safety and quality standards. Identify opportunities for improvement in food safety and quality processes and implement changes to enhance performance. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance management. Certifications: HACCP, SQF, or equivalent food safety certifications. Knowledge: Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, quality assurance methodologies, and industry best practices. Skills: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, high attention to detail, excellent communication, leadership abilities, and proficiency in using quality assurance software and tools.
