Job Description

Job Title

Optimize planning & scheduling to assist with optimal capacity plan for New Equipment sites, validate & update revenue forecasting, Identify resource needs and work with Sales and Operations for optimal capacity planning.

Report to Director of Operations on status

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Perform annual capacity plan budgets.
  • Responsible for balancing capacity between Kelvion sites
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to work with the functional areas to identify and maintain all schedule tasks and dependencies.
  • Generate, publish, and maintain an accurate Master Schedule
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments.
  • Continuously improve the planning & scheduling to ensure optimal levelled service activities.
  • Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
  • Validate and update capacity forecast on regular basis.
  • Continuously improve and implement Planning & Scheduling projects and processes.
  • Coordinate shop scheduling control parameters utilizing SAP / Syteline
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
  • Ensure departments are working according to IATF 16949 guidelines and work instructions.
  • Correct and administer discipline as needed for poor work performance and attendance and conduct performance reviews on schedule.
  • Coordinate all monthly and yearly safety inspections.
  • All other duties assigned.

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

  • Proven ability supervising and forming effective teams (Kiazen experience a plus).
  • Proven ability delegating responsibilities and leading others.
  • Ability to use Excel, Word, and other computer programs.
  • Exhibit good interpersonal skills, team building, coaching and leadership characteristics.
  • Knowledge of Syteline or other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to deal with change and respond quickly to a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to speak and do presentations effectively in front of a group of employees.
  • Shows attention to detail.
  • A fast learner with the ability to lead, teach, and coach employees.
Education and Experience (Required Levels)
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in relevant field (ie. Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Data Analytics)
  • 5+ years related experience required (ie. Capacity Management, Operations Management or Resource Planning) Experience creating Capacity Planning Models for expected demand volume of intake (within a banking or financial institution is acceptable)
  • Good IT skills and experience with information processing in databases and planning tools
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Project Management experience
  • SAP / Syteline Experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance
