Powder Coat Technician
Location: Madison Heights, MI
Pay: $14.50 per hour

In this role, you will help produce high-quality finished metal products by preparing, coating, and inspecting parts while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Schedule

• Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime required as needed)

• Lift Requirement: Up to 20 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal parts for powder coating by cleaning, masking, and sanding surfaces.

• Set up and operate powder coating equipment and spray booths.

• Apply powder coatings to meet quality and production standards.

• Inspect finished products for quality, coverage, and finish consistency.

• Perform minor equipment adjustments and basic maintenance as needed.

• Safely move materials throughout the facility using forklifts or other material handling equipment (if certified).

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Follow all company safety policies and quality procedures.

• Work with team members to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or powder coating experience preferred but not required.

• Experience with industrial painting, powder coating, or automotive finishing is a plus.

• Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a fast-paced production environment.

• Basic math and measuring skills.

• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.

• Reliable transportation and a strong attendance record.
