Peoplelink Staffing Solutions, in partnership with a prominent client in the Binghamton area, is looking for a Powder Coat Painter with previous experience.


Job Summary:
Pay Rate: $17.50 - $20
Shift: 6:30am - 330pm Monday - Thursday / 6:30 am - 1230pm Friday

Powder Coat Painter Responsibilities:

• Prepare metal and other components for powder coating by washing, degreasing, sanding, and masking surfaces as required.
• Set up, operate, and monitor powder coating systems, including spray equipment, booths, and curing ovens, to ensure efficient operation.
• Choose the correct powder materials based on work orders, color specifications, and customer preferences.
• Hang, load, and remove parts from racks or conveyor lines, positioning them correctly to ensure uniform coverage.
• Apply powder coatings smoothly and consistently, achieving proper thickness and finish.
• Observe the coating process and fine-tune equipment settings to maintain adhesion, appearance, and durability.
• Cure finished parts according to specified temperature and time requirements to ensure a high-quality finish.
• Identify and resolve minor equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Keep the powder coating area, tools, and equipment clean, orderly, and compliant with safety guidelines.
• Utilizes computers for departmental information.
• Supports the Company's 5S program to maintain work area, equipment, and supplies in a neat, organized manner.
• Ensures inventory of required supplies are kept at appropriate levels.
• Stacks and/or moves completed work by following material handling and safety procedures.
• Performs related work as assigned

Powder Coat Painter Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous experience as a powder coat painter.

• Prior experience in manufacturing, metal finishing, or industrial production is preferred.

• Basic math capabilities, general computer skills, and the capacity to use specialized tools.

• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
