NEW Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Opportunity
Location: Coastal Oregon
Pay Rate: $38 $57 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time Varied 8-Hour Shifts
A well-established healthcare facility on the Oregon coast is seeking a MLS/MT to join their clinical laboratory team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering competitive pay, excellent benefits, and a supportive work environment in a beautiful coastal community.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform laboratory testing across multiple departments
• Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment
• Use LIS/HIS systems for documentation and result reporting
• Follow quality control procedures and safety standards
• Maintain accuracy while multitasking in a fast-paced setting
• Communicate effectively with healthcare staff and other departments
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
• Must meet CLIA 88 clinical laboratory personnel requirements
• Working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation and computer systems (LIS/HIS)
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and safety protocols
• Ability to think critically and work with minimal supervision
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Varied 8-hour shifts
• Possible on-call and weekend rotation
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Exposure to blood and body fluids (standard precautions required)
• Frequent computer use and manual dexterity required
