Graphic Designer (Part time)
We are seeking a talented and mission-driven Graphic Designer (Part-Time) to join the communications team. You will create digital and print materials that elevate the voices of immigrant and working communities, support campaigns, and celebrate the contributions of our members. This hybrid, part-time role allows flexibility while giving you the chance to see your work directly influence advocacy efforts, member engagement, and public campaigns. Your designs will help tell the story of our movement, making an immediate difference in how communities are represented and empowered.
Note: This position will include work for both Voces de la Frontera (VDLF) and our 501c4 sister organization Voces de la Frontera Action (VDLFA), as part of our efforts to support pro-immigrant legislation and electoral candidates and raise up the Latinx and immigrant vote in critical elections.
Job duties:
Design professional digital assets, including web graphics, email headers, social media visuals, and campaign materials.
Produce simple yet polished print materials, including flyers, invitations, one-pagers, and reports.
Ensure all materials align with brand guidelines, accessibility standards, and organizational messaging.
Collaborate with the communications team to plan, prioritize, and execute design requests.
Contribute to evolving and maintaining brand guidelines and digital standards.
Assist with multimedia content (images, graphics, simple video/animation as needed).
Required skills & Qualifications:
Professional experience in digital and print design.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent design tools.
Strong understanding of layout, typography, color, and accessibility.
Portfolio demonstrating original work (no Canva-only or template-only portfolios).
Ability to manage multiple design requests and collaborate effectively.
Bilingual in Spanish and English.
+ Must reside in the Milwaukee Area
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in nonprofit, advocacy, or mission-driven organizations.
Familiarity with printing processes, audio/video production, and basic multimedia.
Familiarity with EveryAction or similar advocacy/CRM platforms.
